All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. I find some free coding to create a new type of activity and then find some suitable content. Any content can be adapted to any activity. All I need is feedback and requests.

The original activity can be found at https://learnanytime-mycreations.blogspot.com/2020/08/connecting-numbers-by-colouring-2-3-4-5.html A picture catalogue of all my resources can be found at : https://learnanytime-practising.blogspot.com The same coding as for [numbergrid] but this time the added skill is to find a route, from left to right, through the maze of numbers. All of the pictures and all of the text can be replaced with your own content. All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. I know nothing of computer coding but started with one piece of free coding and have been adapting that by incorporating additional free coding. They are created as TEMPLATES for online interactive resources. So, if you have a blog, or want to create one to try this concept out, simply copy and paste the text in the downloaded text file as a NEW POST and PUBLISH. If the concept works PLEASE let me know and I will add other TEMPLATES I have created. The activities are meant to be fun, flexible and differentiated. They are meant to develop transferable skills and be cross curricular. As a result they hopefully reinforce small chunks of information and give a better understanding of a topic. Most of the activities are aimed at UK National Curriculum KS1 and KS2. Contact me at : learnanytime@gmail.com

The original activity can be found at https://learnanytime-mycreations.blogspot.com/2021/10/creating-pictures-by-colouring-star_75.html A picture catalogue of all my resources can be found at : https://learnanytime-practising.blogspot.com This coding simply allows learners to colour a series of dots to white. The topic of star signs just seemed appropriate and the development of the skill of copyng. All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. I know nothing of computer coding but started with one piece of free coding and have been adapting that by incorporating additional free coding. They are meant to develop transferable skills and be cross curricular. As a result they hopefully reinforce small chunks of information and give a better understanding of a topic. I have sorted them into LEARNING, PRACTISING and TESTING activities and will add activities for each grouping if the concept works. The original activity can be found at https://learnanytime-mycreations.blogspot.com/2023/03/sorting-and-comparing-big-bigger.html A picture catalogue of all my resources can be found at : https://learnanytime-practising.blogspot.com A simple activity of sorting 3 sets of 3 pictures and then comparing and sorting them into big, bigger, biggest. In some of these activities I have used “labels”, in others I have “altered” the actual pictures. I would welcome comments as to whether these help or not. The original activity can be found at https://learnanytime-mycreations.blogspot.com/2021/12/counting-with-blue-dots-pandas.html A picture catalogue of all my resources can be found at : https://learnanytime-practising.blogspot.com Counting with Blue Dots [pandas] is a simple activity based upon a 30x10 invisible grid which can be placed over any picture. In this case a strange picture of pandas and a dog. By clicking in one of the 300 frames a BLUE DOT can appear [hence the counting element]. The quiz part is really means of differentiation and extension. All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. The original activity can be found at https://learnanytime-mycreations.blogspot.com/2023/12/time-creating-calculator-sentences_43.html A picture catalogue of all of my resources can be found at https://learnanytime-practising.blogspot.com/ If the emphasis is on sentence creation rather than writing sentences then this activity allows learners that opportunity. I have called them [calculator sentences] because they use the coding taken from a “calculator” activity in which by clicking on a word [in this case] the same word is displayed in a “screen”. By this means learners can simply “click” on words for them to appear as a series of words which become their sentence. This obviously means that using any suitable picture and set of words any subject or topic could be easily created as “calculator sentences”. Version [a] still involves a grid to help work out the area in “squares”, whereas version [b] has no such assistance. The original activity can be found at https://learnanytime-mycreations.blogspot.com/2024/01/addition-calculator-maths-quiz-action.html A picture catalogue of all my resources can be found at : https://learnanytime-practising.blogspot.com I have combined two sets of coding here to create an activity which links maths and English. Clicking on a series of “action verbs” creates a sum which learners can work out on a calculator. In version [1b] the same set of “action verbs” creates a sum which learners can work out but without the use of the “=” button. If you download the coding you can very simply change the numbers used and or the pictures to suit any topic. By creating “pictures” of written text it makes things simpler to adapt previous activities. I have created this one using the o’clock time with a clockface, written time, digital 1 and digital 2 to cover the 24 hour clock. This activity covers 1 o’clock, 3 o’clock, 6 o’clock and 9 0’clock. I have created “pictures” of all of the times of hours, quarter past, half past and quarter to. I will add these if requested.
